Aversive training techniques and equipment, harsh handling or use of pain, fear or discomfort will not be tolerated. If after being asked to cease the use of these techniques, they are continued, services will be terminated with no refund.
Training Methods
Grubby Paws Dog Training only uses positive, force-free, ethical, and scientifically supported training techniques. The deliberate application of fear-inducing, painful, or avoidance-based methods or equipment is strictly prohibited. Such actions will lead to the immediate cessation of the session or consultation without a refund. Persistent use of these aversive techniques will result in the termination of the entire coaching plan without reimbursement.
Payment Policy
Full payment is required prior to initiating any session or consultation, this can be done directly via the website, an invoice can be provided on request.
Membership Coaching
Our membership program is designed to give you the support and guidance you need to succeed with your dog. However, your progress also depends on your own consistency and commitment. Grubby Paws Dog Training will provide all the necessary tools and advice, but we cannot be held responsible for a lack of progress resulting from inconsistent implementation or lack of client commitment.
If at any point we feel that additional support is needed, we may recommend a referral to a veterinary professional, such as a Vet or a Clinical Animal Behaviourist. Please note that the fees for these professionals are separate and not included in the coaching program. While we may suggest specific professionals, they operate independently, and Grubby Paws Dog Training cannot be held responsible for the services they provide.
All clients receive unlimited support via WhatsApp. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm and replies will be within 48 hours. Messages sent outside of these hours are welcome and will be responded to during the next available office hours.
Coaching content may be updated or modified as needed. Should we make changes to the package you are on, we will provide at least four weeks’ notice.
Booking of sessions is the responsibility of the client via the online booking service. Unused sessions at the end of the billing cycle cannot be carried forwards.
Memberships are billed automatically on a monthly basis. If you wish to end your coaching, please notify Grubby Paws Dog Training via email or WhatsApp. Your coaching will conclude at the end of that billing month, provided we receive at least 48 hours' notice prior to the month’s end. Please note that we do not offer partial refunds. Missed payments will result in immediate termination of your coaching.
Injury & Health
Grubby Paws Dog Training is not liable for any loss, injury (including death), or damage to persons, dogs, or property. Clients must disclose any current or past injuries or health conditions of their dog prior to sessions. In the event of an injury to the dog during a session, GPDT is authorised to seek veterinary care, prioritising the dog's best interest. All associated veterinary expenses are the client's responsibility.
Minors Policy
Individuals under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult during all sessions. Children under 14 must each have a supervising adult who is not looking after the dog.
Conduct Towards Staff
Disruptive, confrontational, or abusive behaviour towards GPDT staff will not be tolerated and may result in the immediate termination of the session or consultation without a refund. Continued misconduct can lead to the cancellation of the entire package without reimbursement.
Training Timeline
While we strive to provide realistic timeframes for training and behaviour modification, specific results cannot be guaranteed within a set period. Progress depends on factors such as environmental setup, the dog's physical and emotional well-being, and the client's dedication and communication throughout the coaching plan.
